I have not come across a speaker who engages his audience like Bruce Brown – and talk about make you think! Bruce inspires, and has the capacity to motivate you to want to be a better coach, teacher, student, and overall, a better person. Proactive Coaching has had such a tremendous influence on my coaching experience. I can never thank you enough. I've been meaning to email you since our season ended and let you know he it went (like you asked). The Central Catholic Rams boys basketball team had a very good year. We SHARED suffering early in the season going 3-6. Our constant "Bruce Brown teaching points" really helped us though those tough, but very important, lessons. We started 3-6 and then went 16-2. It was a great season.
BEST HIGHLIGHT of 2008-09......and this is something that you have really helped my role as a coach and educator....after two years of really emphasizing "your education will outlast your vertical jump or jump shot". Our kids did something really impressive! For the first time in school history our boys’ varsity basketball team made the Dairy Farmers Top 10 academic list!!!!!! Our 13 teammates had an average grade point average of 3.49! We finished tied for second in the state!!!!
So we were 2nd in the classroom and third on the court! So thank you Proactive Coaching, and CONGRATS, because we certainly couldn't have done it without you!
